5. Posology and Administration

The drug is administered strictly on the individual indications of every patient.
Posology and administration: Abacavir should be taken orally, regardless of meal, in well-defined hours, in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age - 1 tablet each (300 mg) or 15 ml of solution (while there are inability or impossibility to swallow tablets) twice a day, in babies and children from 3 months up to 12 yeas - 8 mg/kg of the body mass twice daily, but not more than 600 mg.

Hypersensitivity reactions (sometimes life threatening). Liver diseases, early infancy (before 3 months), breastfeeding.
