- Indications for Use.
Treatment of the infections sensible to Roxithromycin, including infections of upper and lower respiration tracts, infections of the skin and soft tissues, infections of urogenital tract (including sexually transmitted infections, but for gonorrhea); prevention of meningococcal meningitis (purulent inflammation of brain lining) in people in contact with the diseased.

Semisynthetic antibiotic to be taken by mouth. The drug takes bacteristatic effect.
- Posology and Administration
Before the administration of Roxithromycin to a patient it is well to determine a sensitivity of the microflora that has provoked an illness in this patient to this drug.
Orally, in adults to be administered 150 mg twice daily in the morning and in the evening before meal or 300 mg one time. The course of treatment is from 5—12 days in diseases of respiratory tracts and ENT-organs, to 2—2,5 months in chronic osteomyelitis. In Chlamidia trachomatis pneumonia and mycoplasmal pneumonia the course of treatment is up to 14 days, in Legionella pneumonia it is up to 21 days. In liver failure 150 mg is administered once daily.
