Allergic rhinitis (vasomotor, seasonal), pollinosis (hay fever), angioedema, hives.
4. Action
The drug takes anti-allergic and anti-inflammation action, there is registered a positive reaction on epidermal (toxicoallergic sores) allergens. It exhibits a positive reaction at the end of one hour after its use.
Fexofenadine does not negatively impact on cardio-vascular systemе and it comes out of the body by kidney functions.
5. Posology and Administration
The drug is used by mouth. Adults and children of 12 years of age and more in allergic rhinitis and hay fever are to be administered 120 mg/daily, single-shot, those in hives - 180 mg/daily, single-shot. There is no need to correct a dose of Fexofenadine in elderly patients.
Children of 6-11 years of age in allergic rhinitis and hay fever take 30 mg twice a day.
A dosage for patients in chronic kidney failure is 30 mg single-shot.
6. Counterindications
Hypersensitivity, pregnancy, lactation period, childhood (the safety and performance for children less than 6 years of age are not determined). Caution should be provided in CKD (chronic kidney disease). It is not recommended to administer the medication in the period of pregnancy and breastfeeding (the drug excretes into breast milk).
7. Should Be Taken with Precautions, if…

Side effects (weakness, dizziness, dyspepsia) are not frequent. Practically they occur only in cases of hypersensitivity to the drug.
11. Pregnancy and Lactation
