- Action
Cefadroxil is antibiotic, it acts anti-bactericidally. It has a large specter of anti-microbial action: it is active against both gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms.
- Posology and Administration
Posology and administration are to be set up individually, in compliance with severity of course of disease and localization of the infection, sensitivity of the causative agent. The drug should be administered orally in adults and in children with the body mass of more than 40 kg in an average dose 1-2 g/daily in 1-2 intakes. In children with the body mass of less than 40 kg - 25-50 mg/kg/daily (it is advised to use it in a suspension form) in 1-2 intakes. The course of treatment is 7-14 days.
- Counterindications
Should be taken with caution in hypersensitivity to Cefadroxil, pregnancy, lactation period. Severe chronic renal failure, intestinal tract diseases.

The drug should be used with caution in patients suffering from allergic reaction to the drug’s components, in juvenile age, likewise in elderly age.
In patients suffering from chronic kidney failure and from substantial compromised liver and intestinal tract function.

Symptoms: nausea, hallucinations, convulsions, mental fog and coma, likewise compromised kidney function.

- Pregnancy and Lactation
Cefadroxil is counterindicated in pregnancy, during the treatment breastfeeding should be cancelled.
